Transference


The eyes are closed – but this is not sleep.

Half the face is still human, still fragile; the other has already begun to fracture into light, into geometry, into that which never says “I.” Something is passing from one layer into another without meeting, without a final glance back.

It happens quietly, almost politely – as though everything had been agreed long ago, as though no agreement had even been necessary.
